Van de zee, het vlakke land en haar nuchtere bewoners zingen deze olijke grieten. Over het zware werk, de mondige vrouwen, maar ook de feesten en klompendansen. Voddemoêr is een sprankelende Nederlandstalige folkband met de drie kern-vrouwen; Robin, Marijn en Anouk. Met krachtig harp-spel, een sterke melodische sectie van viool, drijvende basgitaar en natuurlijk de kraakheldere vocalen van de twee zussen Robin & Marijn schetsen zij een levendig beeld van het Nederland van de voorbijgegane eeuwen. Om een optreden nog feestelijker te maken worden zij veelal bijgestaan door Boet op accordeon, Remy op blokfluit of Laurens op accordeon. Stof je klompen af en dans met ons mee!

Two sisters sing songs about the endless flatlands, about the might of the sea, and about the down-to-earthness of the Dutch. Their songs concern the hard work, rowdy women, countryside fairs, and a clogdance or two! Voddemoêr is a brand new, old school, Dutch folk band by the three power women Robin, Marijn and Anouk. Accomanied by a fierce harp, fiery melodies on the violin, and of course their own bright vocals,Voddemoêr shows that the last ages of Dutch folk music are jumpfully alive today! In the spirit of “the more the merrier” they like to play with Boet on the accordeon, Remy on recorders or Laurens on accordeon. Put on your wooden clogs and dance along!
